Final Research Paper
after finally completing the research paper for English 101 this semester, in my opinion I don’t think it was as hard as I expected it to be. a lot of that has to do with all the writing we’ve done throughout the semester though. everything we wrote related to our topic which made the final project easier to complete because a lot of the writing was already done. things just needed to be pulled together and reworded. overall I feel very confident with my paper and the class was very helpful.
Peer review #2
I am so glad we were able to have another peer review for our research papers. it was very helpful again. especially for my conclusion. it also helped with some minor mistakes I most likely would have missed. it was also extrememly helpful to meet with professor Ludeker. it gave myself an idea of what she was looking for. hopefully improving my score.
Peer review
I am really glad we were able to peer review again. I even recieved comments on my paper from professor ludeker which I also thought was helpful. It is nice to do things like that in class because I feel more confident with my work when I am finished. For the most part I am finished now however I still feel my conclusion is a little weak.
Sythesis
Overall I felt that writing the synthesis was fairly easy. Since I’m researching a topic I am very knowledgable on I know what I’m talking about. The only trouble I had was with the conclusion like always. I just always find it hard to write them. I am looking forward to the peer review today.
After class 10-27
After class today I was glad to hear that we are doing another peer review for the synthesis this time. I found it very helpful last time. And also somewhat motivating. It’s nice to receive praise for things you do in life. Hopefully in the long run it helps me get a better grade. I also think it benefits myself because I can gather some ideas on how to organize ideas within my writing from others.
In class I also thought the questions we asked ourselves about our topics to narrow our purpose were very helpful. Not just for our synthesis but also for my final paper. The thesis also helped.
I am actually interested in writing this document as well as the final paper.
Critique Assignment
Not sure if anyone else is having some trouble, but trying to think of what to write in a critique is kind of difficult at first, at least with having no prior experience. It seems pretty straight forward but I guess it’s not… If anyone has any tips or suggestions feel free to comment, or email me at samiller1@mail.widener.edu. I learned pretty much from lecture on tuesday and through the reading, I guess I need to go over it again though.
