We did it!

December 10, 2009 at 2:38 pm (Uncategorized) ()

After completing my 8-10 page paper, i realized that it was the end. It took alot of time and devotion to complete this paper successfully, but with Professor Ludeker’s help and help from my peers i am proud of my paper. Even thought the papers were rough at the beginnning, i brought all the ideas into one and created a great research paper on healthcare reform. I hope all of you had a great semester! Thank you Professor!

Research Paper

December 10, 2009 at 2:35 pm (Uncategorized) ()

The conclusion of my final paper at first was rough. As i brought together some of my main ideas, it came alot easier to me. I checked out chapter 7 in our handbook and that was alot of help as well. My conclusion, to me, seems like i ended in the right note. I hope everyone else had a conclusion that they are proud of!

Final Paper!

December 7, 2009 at 1:29 am (Uncategorized) ()

After my conference, I am very confident in finishing my paper. I went in with about three pages, now im up to six. Professor Ludeker and I went through a great outline that would assist me in finishing my paper successfully. Since, Tuesday is a peer review for our final papers, I am using this as an advantage to see what my peers can pick out of my paper. I am hoping everyone has had a successful conference with the Professor like I did and i am hoping that come Tuesday, we’re all ready to help eachother out!

Conference Tomorrow!

November 30, 2009 at 4:34 am (Uncategorized) ()

I have my conference tomorrow with Professor Ludeker at 12 and i think this will give me the opportunity for any questions! I have been trying to perfect my introduction and I think I fell behind on the rest of my paper however I did provide my arguments and such. Did anyone else go in with this done? Anyway goodluck on your papers and I hope the conferences help!

Trying to Determine the right appeal

November 17, 2009 at 2:33 pm (Uncategorized) ()

For my argumentative paper, I feel as though I want to use more pathos throughout my paper to try and get people with health coverage to help those without. I dont want to use overly emotional words in doing this, but at the same time I am use to it. Also, there are a lot of statistics (logos) for my topic, health care reform, and I think if i can manage to create a more shocking turn of these statistics, it would result in a larger impact for those who have coverage. The hardest appeal to me is ethos. I find it more difficult to make yourself credible at all time. Maybe this applies to just me but I also use the word “many” in the wrong context. Professor Ludeker seemed to help me in distinguishing the difference between these strong words because after all they are significantly different.

Final Argument Synthesis

November 10, 2009 at 2:50 pm (Uncategorized) ()

I feel confident in writing the final 8-10 page argumentative synthesis because of the lecture in class this morning. I find that the guidelines are self explanatory, and the conferences being set up with Professor Ludeker are going to be very helpful. I like writing argument papers but at the same time i find it hard to make them persuasive. Getting the reader’s to think a different way is what makes writing difficult for me. Along with getting help from Professor Ludeker, I am scheduling an appointment with the Writing Center in hopes to excel on my final research paper.
