Ciao class
The most important thing that i have learned in English 101 this semester is that through your writing you build character. Before English 101 i looked as a paper being about a subject and it just being a reflection or maybe definition of a topic. Through the semester i have learned that how you write a paper defines so much of who you are as a writer. The paper is not only about the subject you write it also defines who you are. I have learned how important it is to incorporate other peoples work when doing a research paper. The effectiveness of two sides being brought up in a paper shows that you have done your research and there for it gives you credibility. I also learned that there are different toans when you write and that you want to think about the audience and who you are presenting this information to. And most of all i have learned to think outside the box when i write. When i was writing my ten page paper i would always look back at my main point but not really look at it. You probably are very confused by what im trying to say? Well what i am trying to say is that i really had to look at every aspect of my topic to fully make my argument. Although it seems so easy when you think about it, for some reason, it was so hard for me to connect the little things to my big idea or argument. Professor Ludeker has definitly opened my eyes with my topic and has taught me to think outside the box because when you do that you can truely succeed in your writing.
Hello Class
WEll although the semester has come to an end i have to say i really enjoy english class. At the beginning of the semester i was kind of scared to what english class was really about. While i was in high school i always loved english class and it was one of my favorite classes. But once senior year hit i started to hear about how in colleg english will be alot different then what we are used to and how the papers will be alot harder. To my suprise English class turned out to be a huge learning experience and not something that scared me at all. Yes there was the 10 page paper that i had a little trouble with but with Professor Ludekers help i was able to type a pritty good paper. This leads me into the thing i liked the most about English 101. I really liked how each time we wrote something we got to get into groups and have it looked at by our class mates. This helped me alot through the semester to see the many things i can change in my writing. I also liked how we got a chance to go over our papers with one another. The thing that helped me the most is that we were able to actually sit down with our professor and have our papers lookd through and sort of analyzed and critiqued in a way. I thought i was a good writer and never knew how much i was lacking in but its all good now because with this course i have learned so many ways to better my writing

When reading the chapter about Synthesis i had trouble understanding what a synthesis was. After professor Ludeker broke it down and gave us examples of what a synthesis was i truely understood the concept of a synthesis. But being that i am a visual, hands on learner, tuesdays class work will help me much better with understanding how to actually write a synthesis. I really liked how we used the world Love in class the other day. It was funny to me to actually sit there look at the word but not being able to fully explain what it means. I was amazed to see how this word Love that is used by alot of us everyday was so hard to actually break down fully.

So far english class is nothing what i have expected it to be. Now i say this because i was told from my high school teachers that once we get into college a teacher will never go over a certain topic more than once. I love how in class, Miss Ludeker brakes down each subject and then builds it up. Take for example the critical analysis; At first i was pretty sure that i knew what had to be done but when Miss Ludeker showed us that there is two parts to it i was stund to see that i had the wrong idea about what we had to do. I’m a visual learner so i like how we get to drawl out examples of what we have to do such as the bibliography paper. I also like how the books SAW and EW also give many examples of a certain subject such as siting work from the internet or books.
